Alongside many others, I continue to watch with absolute awe the incredible medal winning performances of Team GB in the pool at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. But as I roared home Adam Peaty, Tully Kearney and co from my front room, I couldn’t help but think about the huge difficulties that recreational swimming has faced over the past 18 months and will continue to face across the UK.

Swimathon Foundation Unites Key Events for Swimathon Festival 2021

Swimathon Foundation has today announced the launch of the Swimathon Festival 2021, set to take place between the 10th and 12th September of this year. The Festival will see Swimathon and Open Water Swimathon events taking place on the same weekend for the first time, in a major celebration of swimming across the country.

COVID-19 Fund Helps Swimming Community to Start Recovery

Having awarded £50,000 of grants from the Covid Relief Fund to over 100 organisations and individuals last year, Swimathon Foundation realised additional support was required this year, and released a further £30,000 to aid the swimming community this year.

Swimathon 2020 Raises £1 Million for Charities

The Swimathon Foundation has today announced that this year’s Swimathon has raised over £1 million. These funds will support the essential work of Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie as well as promoting swimming and underpinning its vital role in health and wellbeing across the UK.

Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie Named Charity Partners of Swimathon

Following Swimathon’s recent 30th anniversary which has so far raised over £1.5 million, The Swimathon Foundation, the charity behind both events, is delighted to announce that Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie will be the official charity partners of Swimathon for the next four years.
