Sponsor a swimmer

The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Swimathon is back, from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th March 2016 and has been asking swimmers to swim themselves proud for Sport Relief. As the UK’s biggest swimming event, participants can take to the water and make a difference at 600 venues, including the London Aquatics Centre at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

If you know someone swimming at this year's event why not support them and help raise money for a wonderful cause. The money you raise will help to transform lives. In fact, half of all the money raised by the public is spent right here at home in the UK, with the other half used to make a difference in the world’s poorest communities.

£20 could provide life-saving medication for 100 children with malaria in Uganda.

£50 could send a disadvantaged young person in the UK on a sports coaching course, giving them the skills they need to find work.

£100 could send a young man with mental health issues on a 10-week sports course to meet new friends and help build their confidence.

£150 could provide a whole year of school lunches for ten disadvantaged children in Uganda.
