DIY Press Release 2 - Post event

Please note that the press releases on this page are created for Swimathon participants to promote their individual challenges.

Top Tips:
  1. Download the latest Swimathon Participant Press Release and fill in the blanks
  2. Copy and paste the text into the body of your email and sent it off to the editor of news editor of your local paper or radio
  3. Insert an exciting title in the subject line 
  4. Include "***” before and after the email title – for example ***Great Lengths for a Great Cause*** 
  5. Always email each contact separately 
  6. Including a selection of three or four images will enhance your chances of achieving coverage. You can include some of the downloadable images 
  7. Always send your releases before 9.30am 
  8. Give your contacts a call to see if they have received the release and ascertain whether they might print the story
