Pool of the Month

Every Swimathon pool dedicates their time and resources to put on the best Swimathon event possible. Each month we will be celebrating the pool that has shown outstanding performance in their Swimathon preparations and delivery.

March 2010

For March we would like to recognise the pool which has made a huge recruitment drive throughout the month.

The Pool of the Month award for March 2010 goes to:

Gloucester Park Swimming Pool

- In the Top 10 Pools

- Recruited 51 swimmers which was the highest number of any pool in March

- 2 of their sessions have sold out

- They are holding a special Swimathon session for their swimming lesson children

February 2010

For February we would like to recognise the pool which has made a huge promotion and recruitment drive throughout the month.

The Pool of the Month award for February 2010 goes to:

Wentworth Leisure Centre

- In the Top 10 Pools

- Recruited 31 swimmers in February

- All 3 sessions sold out

- Receiving excellent coverage in the Hexham Courant from journalist Rebecca Dixon, who is writing weekly Swimathon blogs

January 2010

For January we would like to recognise the pool which has recruited the most swimmers.

The Pool of the Month award for January 2010 goes to:

Aquatics Centre, John Charles Centre for Sport

- First pool to recruit over 100 swimmers

- Top of the league table for 3 weeks

- Best weekly swimmer recruitment - 45 participants
