Let's all swim together for Marie Curie Cancer Care

Marie Curie Cancer Care is delighted to once again be teaming up with Swimathon in 2010.

Your fundraising will allow Marie Curie Nurses to provide more care and support to people with cancer and other terminal illnesses.

Marie Curie Nurses work through the day and night to provide this care and every £1 raised will make a difference. It cost £20 to provide one hour of nursing care, imagine what a difference your fundraising will make to their full shift.

The UK’s leading charity for end of life care.

“Without the Marie Curie Nurses, i could not have complied with my mother's wishes to remain at home. Each and every nurse brought their own brand of care and attention. Each and everyone was a star."

No matter how far you swim or how much you raise, it all makes a difference...

Every £20 of your fundraising pays for one hour of nursing care in a patient's home.

They employ more than 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals

Last year Marie Curie nurses cared for around 29,000 terminally ill patients

They are the largest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS

All of their services are always free to patients and their families

Around 70 per cent of the charity’s income comes from the generous support of thousands of individuals, membership organisations and businesses, with the balance of funds coming from the NHS

Marie Curie Cancer Care is a pioneer in end of life care research
